The 'Bharat Ratna'-awarded Veteran singer breathed her last at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. She was 92 years old. Lata Mangeshkar, known worldwide as the 'Nightingale of India', ruled the female playback singing in Hindi cinema for nearly five decades. Mangeshkar started his career in 1942 at the age of just 13. He has sung more than 30 thousand songs in many Indian languages so far. He has also been awarded the Bharat Ratna, the country's highest civilian award.

Swarkokila lost the battle with Corona
